The Hawk T MK1 First entered service when two aircraft arrived at a wet and windy RAF Valley
Anglesey on 4th November 1976.
The Hawk became a great success in a variety of roles, Most notably as the mount of the
Royal Air Force Premier Aerobatic Display Team – The Red Arrows
4 FTS Hawk T1 flying Training ceased with the disbandment of 208 (R) Squadron in April 2016.
Operations at RAF Valley continue with BAe Hawk T MK 2 aircraft.
