On the return flight to their home base at Croft Aerodrome in Yorkshire.
The crews had orders not to fly East of Southampton, and as they neared the Isle of Wight.
And they were rewarded with the spectacular sight of the Allied invasion fleet gathering for what proved to be one of the most significant and historic events of the second World War.

Here at SWA Fine Art we have produced a range of greeting cards and Christmas cards.

Cards can be purchased in any amount postage cost are a flat £1.50 for any amount of cards
Individual cards come with envelope and cellophane wrapped

It can only charge one set fee so please be aware we may have to charge extra on orders of more than 5 cards.

If our web over charges on the postage we will refund the difference back to you.
